2a “strange” starter in a recent non starter

Thanks everyone, so I discovered the engine is a 361xxxx 5 bearing, and the starter seems to be a Bosch with LR number NAD10039, don’t think it’s the pre-engaged type as the pinion slides up and down on the shaft. And both the power in to starter, and the “trigger” are both daisy chained from...

2a “strange” starter in a recent non starter

Good evening, the collective brains of Landyzone… having got fed up with my Range Rover and it’s ever present Trans Prog Fail, I recently acquired a 1969 Series 2a - petrol 2 1/4 , hoping to repeat the joys of owning my SIII some 20 years ago. Tears of joy on that long first drive home soon...

L332 G4 type Roof Ladder fitting

Hi Guys Has anyone fitted a G4/G4 type roof ladder to a 2005 L322 - found one on ebay, no fittings or instructions. Unsure whether to drill the holes and struggle with interior, or use riv-nuts and leave interior well alone. Has anyone else fitted one, and which method did you use? Thanks Peter

    2005 L322 4.4V8 Auto box cooler temp/upshift recap

Afternoon All, I assume I have the gearbox oil temperature issue where it down shifts to speed up rpm in order to increase flow through cooler. Having researched the threads I provided a summary for the local garage - my local garage being a small but enthusiastic (non LR) establishment in...

L322 roof bars and getting stuff up there

Hi Guys, has anyone had any recent luck sourcing a rear tailgate/roof ladder for an L322, or found a decent bolt on ladder roller compatible with genuine LR/RR roof bars. Fed up with making an ar$e of myself trying to get stuff up or off the roof. Many hours trawled online without success, but...

    L322 4.4 Auto Vogue - wont start - P1672 DTC - immobiliser?

Hi Folks, I’d be very grateful for any members with recent encounters of the P1672 DTC on a 2005 4.4 Vogue to be able to support me in trying to persuade a Dutch main dealer that insisting on replacing the fuel pump might be barking up the wrong tree.... Firstly I know arguing with a Dutchman...

    L322 Towing Electric's Relay I.D.

Hi Guys - I’m in the same situation as Garwillis - trying to find the tow relay - great to see the part number already posted - my relay box looks like it has a flat blade jumper where the relay should plug in - presumably it pulls out? Can anyone advise? Perils of 2nd hand parts I guess with...

Update time - and its good news, a little longer than expected but only due to my holiday - new potentiometer arrived in the post from British Parts (Geniune LR component) and a little fiddling later its bolted on and plugged in. So thanks to Bembles detailed post in another thread on the inhibitor switch- and an investment in a new Fluke with decent prongs, at the ECU plugs I find no continuity across +ve and L1 and L4 when there should be in Park - only on L3. I didn’t try in R, N or D with two faults found already as...
