Thanks for the info, I think it may have had something to do with all the storms that were going on in my area last week, that and the fact it was parked between two houses so was probably getting interference fromother electrical devices.

So last week (at the same time as the ACE pump dying) I also got the thee Amigos a little while before completely breaking down, I thought I had found the cause of this as the seal on the front passenger side was dead so I replaced the seals on both sides of the front axle and the ABS sensors...

ACE pump replaced, belt replaced, battery bung removed, system bled and all is now working (in this area)! Thanks guys :)
