Discovery 2 For Sale Land Rover Discovery 2 TD5 auto

Hey folks, Unfortunately this thing has let me down for the last time, so its going up for sale.

Here we have my Land Rover Discovery 2 TD5 automatic. It's a pretty standard and straight vehicle with a brand new ZF4HP22EH transmission and corresponding torque converter bought from Ashcroft Transmissions and fitted late last year.

Problems: The head gasket has just gone and as a result I am selling this as a new automatic transmission that comes with a free Discovery 2.

As I paid £1600 including VAT for the transmission less than 1000 miles ago, I think £800 or very nearest offer is a fair price for the whole lot.

I will not be splitting the vehicle to sell the transmission separately as it is currently sitting on my mother in laws driveway some 300 miles away from me in Swanage.

Once I have received payment and have arranged collection (as I will need to let my mother in law know when you are coming so she can give you the key) I will transfer the registered keeper online (I have done this a number of times and it is by far the most efficient way to transfer keeper these days.) I will also send all history I have for the vehicle in the post recorded.

Not looking for any swaps or deals, I just want this thing gone.

Hell I'd fix the HG.
If you didnt cook it then a 3 hole gasket and reuse the headbolts plus some steel dowels is all you need.
I paid 3k for mine and had to do the HG before then doing the suspension.
A long way from here to pick it up but at 800gbp I'd like to think about it. (trailer or transporter price?)

Honestly I’ve already put far more work into this truck than I initially wanted to, I bought it to be my daily/tow vehicle and on every long journey it has let me down in one way or another. So at this point I have no interest in replacing the head gasket myself, however if someone wants to buy it to do just that, that’s fine.

If you want to look into how much it will cost you to arrange for it to be picked up drop me a DM for the collection postcode, however this is something you will need to arrange yourself, and let me know when they will be coming to collect it.

If theres no interest in this in a week it will be scrapped I'm afraid. I'm under pressure to have it removed from my mother in laws driveway, Ideally I don't want to scrap it as the gearbox alone is worth what I'm asking and it can be driven just not very far.
