    Disco 2 starting problems.

Injector washers and seals maybe? Not easy to work out the problem from your description but that would fit with the rest of the stuff you've played with.

    Disco 2 Brake judder/snatching

This has now happened a couple of times when stationary. Start up, press the brake pedal before moving - judder felt through pedal. Very odd but it rules out a lot of stuff.

    Disco 2 Brake judder/snatching

I don't think so. It's definitely not the same noise/feel as when TC kicks in and the light doesn't come on ( although I'm not sure if it should ).

    Disco 2 Brake judder/snatching

Hi All, I've recently replaced the front passenger side hub, disks and pads all round and a seized rear caliper. I did manage to lose a reasonable amount of brake fluid when changing over the caliper. I topped up the brake fluid, bled all the brakes in the recommended order just to be sure and...

    Disco 2 Stuck Door

Hi, The actuator on the driver side rear passenger door on my D2 failed so I got hold of a second hand unit ( this may have been my first mistake ) and installed it. All went well, it's not that fiddly a job, until I closed the door... The actuator makes the right sounds and pops up the lock as...

Disco 2 Another starting issue thread.

Sounds the same as an issue I had. Injector washers sorted it and the job wasn't that tricky. Might be worth checking for oil in the injector loom and changing that at the same time if needed?

    Number plate

https://www.gov.uk/displaying-number-plates/rules-number-plates it looks like as long as it's reflective and the right colour you'll be fine. There is the additional requirement that it has to "be fitted vertically, or as close to vertical as is reasonably practical" - that's obviously...

    Disco 2 TD5 starting problems.

Thanks - Solenoid repair kit sorted it out. That nut at the top of the starter is a pain though.

    Disco 2 TD5 starting problems.

Voltage between main lead and starter case looks good - same as battery voltage. Voltage on the lucar connector to starter body is around 10V when trying to start so I guess all the fuses etc are ok and it's the starter that's the issue. Is 10V ok or is that an indication of a bad earth...

    Disco 2 TD5 starting problems.

I've got a 2003 MY TD5 which has always started without a problem... until yesterday. Nothing unusual on the dash ( e.g. no crossed out B ), the fuel pump starts as expected and everything electrical seems to work. When I try to crank it I get a single click and the clock, radio etc. dim -...

    Hi All

The series was never the family car but circumstances forced it's sale. If I tried to take her td5 off her I'd be in trouble, she loves it - I get to fix it, not drive it. V8 is going at some point though.

    Hi All

Wouldn't mind a series again if I could find one at the right price. I'm also 6' 5" and it's easier to find a bit more legroom in a defender.

    Hi All

My name is Mark and I'm living up in Norfolk. Restored a series III when I was younger and regret selling it so much, we had a bit of a surprise when the wife had twins... apparently it wasn't the most suitable vehicle! Currently have a td5 facelift disco 2 and a v8 disco 1. Hoping to find a...
