    I think you've sloved it , if there are two types I've got the wrong ones ( typical ) mine have the ball joint adjusters fixed to the actual unit as you described.

    Hi , no they dont , the old units seem to have swivel threads ( like on ball joints )lattatched to the actual light unit . The replacement units have solid threads attatched to the unit that are fixed .
