Hi Simon, I not so long ago had the job of the n/s rear drive shaft oil seal. And as you've already mentioned I ended up using a block of wood and a hammer a good solid bump and out it came.

    Urgent help please

Hi, No I didn't but I did it on my drive which has a slope, so that combined with the height it was raised up and supported on 1 corner, I left three wheels on the ground meant no oil came out. I would imagine if it was done on level ground you would loose some of the oil. Dave

Has it got to be the injectors?

Hi I have a Td4 56 plate facelift the problem is at tick over when cold, the symptoms are a light "fluttering/hunting" of the revs if I apply a little gentle throttle say up to 1100revs it continues. When warm it ticks over fine drives ok . No smoke of any colour. I did a leak back test and...

    TD4 inlet manifold??

Just a quick question I assume all the freelander 1- td4 inlet manifolds are the same. The reason I ask is I fancy cleaning mine out after seeing the inside of the EGR when I fitted the bypass recently, I was thinking about buying one to have as a spare clean just to refit. They seem cheap...

    Injectors and leak back test

Hi I have a 2006 facelift td4 after doing a leak back test. It appears if I'm understanding the results correctly (Injectors 2,3,4 leaked back 25% more than number1 in the same time) that I might require some new injectors. Is my understanding correct? If so any opinions on where to buy them...
