Hi folks I need a part number for a 1985 land rover petrol engine serial number 63506336c. Believed to be military 2.25lt I need a starter motor for it. I tried putting my series 3 starter motor on but the spacing between the studs is wider on the 1985 engine. Thanks

hi folks i have a differential fitted to my s3 rear axle with no fill hole and none in the diff pan either so i have been filling it through the breather hole. now though needs a new pinion oil seal. it has 47 teeth on the crown wheel so a 4.71 diff and is a 10 spline. so which oil seal do i get...

my cylinder head is mark with the numerals Y2 adjacent to the center head bolt opposit the carb. cylinder head number is dupoint 525183 can anyone help identify which head this is 8:1 or 7:1 thanks

not much room in the engine bay to swing the hammer with the pully on. and it ain't budging

simple question!? can the steering box on a S3 be removed without taking off the drop arm. as mine is on solid and needs to be put in a vice. is it a complete wing off job? i have to work in the street outside so need to do it right the first time thanks to all

Ok found this under the engine after i had been tightening up the exhaust bracket somust have been knock off the engine block. Have googled to no avail has anyone got some info please.

If you are going faster than your speedo shows your breaking the law. Speed traps allow for approx 10:% is not something i would like to test out. As all new cars travel at about 5mph slower than the reading on the speedometer anyway you can test this out against the speed check signs

The end connections with the screws are the same but the cable is of a different pressed shape and diameter. I tried to re-shape one cable and it worked for a week or 2 then broke.
