Hi all, just a quick thread to all you defender owners.. obviously we have the best type of Land Rover (he says tongue in cheek).. but I was wondering.. WHAT ARE THE BEST MODS THAT YOU HAVE DONE OR HAD DONE TO YOUR BELOVED LANDYS??

Thankfully wasn't too rainy while I put my new UJ's on my rear prop, having lost one while driving at 60mph last night. Not a bad job and no real complications - Drives soooooo much better now - I don't feel like its about to shale itself apart!!! now for the front while I'm at it!!

Well....while driving home head a tremendous rattle at the back followed by what sounded like someone beating the inside of a metal bin, on inspection saw my rear prop disconnected from the rear axle...fortunately was around the corner from home so father in law picked up the wife and our son...

Ah, that is music to my ears!!! I was hoping it was the UJ's and not something more sinister - gonna put a spacer on there while I'm at it as it will have had a 3.5'' lift by the time its done... Cheers Matey!! :high5::high5::high5::high5::high5::high5:

I too have a post '97 license - yet I can legally hire and drive and 18seater minibus - lol, go figure, they took a copy of my license too beforehand. I have also rented and driven a fully loaded luton van which must have been way over the stated amount...

Finished fitting my bilge pump to my 200tdi, pump out all that nasty hot air!!! Went surprisingly unproblematic, also sorted out my wipers which didn't work - turns out it was a fuse - I was looking at the wrong one last time I checked. Discovered that I can jiggle my front prop a little...

my sincerest apologies to Wolf - it WAS the flamin' fuse!!! I checked the wrong one!!!
