thanks, will try to pop out this weekend and have a look, I never thought about it being a generic one fitted to loads of other cars as theres never any landrovers being scrapped round here.

Bit of a long shot here but is anyone breaking an edc discovery or have one for parts, my head gasket has gone and whilst stripping down I've found that the temp sensor (on top of the cylinder head) looks to have overheated at some point and has melted the blue connector and part of the wiring...

Well thought I'd best add mine, this is my old ex-mil 90 repainted with a roller before after and then my current disco, also rollered you do get loads of funny looks from the neighbours but turns out ok

had a similar thing on a 300tdi defender a couple of years ago that would run fine for a while then lose all power and struggle to run, cleaned everything and changed lift pump etc but was still the same until I noticed a very slight weep from one of the leak off pipes from the injector, changed...

the biggest issue on the video was the fact that the importer had changed the plates on a newer car to try and cheat the system, hence why it was crushed. its a shame but it is a good thing ultimately.

Sorry for a little bit of a hijack :) but how hard an impact do you need to set off the airbag? has anyone set one off during normal offroading?

Mine was a canvas tonneau, they never offered a pvc one at the time of ordering. it was always nice and easy to fit but as said I ditched the rope that came with it and replaced with an elasticated type rope which was much easier. I think the only bad thing was depending how you parked...
