So, some piece of **** of Fleabay sold me some sidesteps the other day...

Shown me some pictures on and off his landrover, and i even spoke to him on the phone.

I was told they were in great condition, and as new!

I thought great! And sent him over £50.

Got them today, and i honestly don't think they'd take the weight of my two year old, let alone anyone else!

So, if by chance, the piece of **** that sold me these, is on this forum, answer your Fudging phone!!

I don't want to drive to Maesteg, but if i have to, i will!

Knobhead! Argh!

Rant over.

Guys, let me know how new you think these are?!

can you not still raise a complaint via paypals resolution center?

I think all ebay do is send you thier anyway, but not sure.

I don't think I can I think there's a waiver on there, that prevents it, because if you send it via 'gift' option, the charges are lesser than the amount, than if you sold it on business terms. So in their eyes, you pay less for no help or service from them.

If you did pay via your credit card they are obliged to sort you back out under the distance sellers act, not too sure about debit card mind.

PayPal is linked directly to bank account? So any idea how I stand with that? And yes and no to outside eBay. He listed it on eBay, but then closed auction and sold it to me outside of eBay. So not really yes and no. Just no. Ha! And I shouldve ####ing asked here for some side steps! Argh! Do you think it'd cost me as much to get them welded into good strong condition?

Watch your language! :D

Not too sure to tell you the truth but I know a friend got stung on ebay recently for £400 and he used his debit card, I will give him a call and see how he got on....

Waste of time welding those. Do you have a link to the advert? Might be able to access the item/link via your messages folder.

When you go onto the link it just says the item has been removed. Can't see anything from it. And now apparently I can't even find his eBay username! Click link to his name and it says he's no longer registered. Think I've been well and truly had!

Right Ive just spoke to him and his situation was a little different, it was a listing on Ebay for a hand made table for £400 he paid via paypal and upon purchasing it was required to wait 7 weeks for it to be made (conveniently just over Ebays 45 day policy).

He waited the 7 weeks and after a lot of unanswered emails he tried to complain to Ebay but they were having none of it as it was longer than 45 days from the date of purchase.

He has however gone to his bank and they have asked him to fill out a form so we will see what happens.

Your situation is different in regards of the fact that you dont have an ebay item number/seller name and you have actually recieved the item, (item not as described).

I would try the bank, then maybe CAB (its free) and then trading standards.

If you can be bothered, how much did you pay?

Paid £50, so not the end of the world, though it is just under a days wages! Haha! (my job sucks!)

Honestly, I think after all the hassle it won't be worth it. I'd prefer to stick another £50 in fuel and find the ####er and punch his ####ing head off :)
