Hi folks, the FNS CV joint on my freelander has developed a rumbling nosie when turning right on full lock, so it seems the cv joint is on its way out, been advised to change the whole drive shaft instead of just the cv joint has it makes the job a lot easier, can people in the know kindly give...

How easy is it to change a cv joint?

Sorry I didn't mention it only does happen when it's on full lock, and only happens when turning right, turning left it's fine

Good evening folks, my freelander has started to develope a "rumbling" nosie from the front left wheel when it's turning right it only seems to happen when I'm doing above 10-15mph ish. Anyone able to shine any light on this matter will be much appreciated

I know to be fair I was unaware of this new change and mine did have a decat pipe fitted, I just want to make a few of you aware of this new change and that you don't get a surprise when yours is due it's mot. Mine passed last year without a cat.

Just to make a few of you aware that my l series failed its mot yesterday because it didn't have a cat fitted, the tester told me if the car was supplied standard with one that it has to be present during a mot now. that's a few hundred quid down the drain for me.

Just tried to start the car again to no avail. I pumped the hand pump for ages and took the line off to see if fuel was actually going through and it was, it's just still turning over with no intentions to start, I'm tempted to burn the bag of crap at the moment

I'll give it a try iv changed the fuel filter before and never had this problem. Iv just tried starting it again and it sounds like it's just the starter motor turning over not even spluttering like it's trying to start.

It's a 2.0l diesel L series engine, yes I primed the filter using the hand pump and undone the screw on the top until fuel started to come out. Another one too is the pipe where the hand pump is, is that the inlet for the diesel?

Hey folks just serviced my l series hippo, oil, fuel, pollen filter, now it's not starting I think it might have something to do with the fuel filter, it's a Brit part one and I primed the filter with the hand pump after fitted the new one, it started at first then after I tried to start it...

Oh sounds quite simle then, I don't need a tow bar fitted since I will never tow anything, just need the light board. Where does one purchase this socket we talk of?
