Hi folks I'm needing some advice on fitting a light board to my hippo I have a simbars rear bike rack and when I chuck my bike on it slightly cover the rear lights and rear plate. I don't have a tow bar or aux rear plug for a light board, will anyone be kind enough to advised on how to fit a aux rear socket so I can get a light board slapped onto the bike rack to keep my nose clean from the law?

Many thanks.

Presume you mean the towbar socket? Not fitted one (had mine done) but i would think its easy enough?
Could always just get a towbar fitted.. Ora mobile spark £40ph i know a good one if yr near me

There's a block connector in the back somewhere I seem to remember reading on here. All you need to do is find it, run your wires to a trailer plug socket

remove the rear plastic panel on drivers side, by removing the rear floor door trim, then turning the four plastic hooks 45 degrees, behind there you will find the socket to plug into, if you get a towbar socket that already has the land rover plug on it, it will be a really simple thing to fit

Oh sounds quite simle then, I don't need a tow bar fitted since I will never tow anything, just need the light board. Where does one purchase this socket we talk of?

Landrover parts have one. Or eBay. You could mount it behind the bumper out of sight
