Wrap the green box in bubble wrap and stuff it back in but I think it's on it's way out so will need replacing,also a spider won't do anything apart from bypassing the immobiliser.

Turns out it's the fob receiver bit of kit,so back up and running now,thanks for the advice people.

Done the battery and tried to sync but no joy,think I'll book it in somewhere £££££££.

ok the key fobs are not locking or unlocking the vehicle also when I lock it with the key the indicators are flashing indicating the alarm is set annnnnnd it's immobilised ,now I know I need the code to start it but any ideas about what's wrong with the alarm.

The hazards don't flash when I unlock using the key but do flash when the alarm goes off. Where would I find this code I don't have handbook.

I've recharged the battery,if you manually lock it ie using the key (which turns off the interior sensors)the indicators should flash to indicate the immobiliser is active, it's now parked up I can't drive it.

Sorry should point out its a 1996 three door Disco 1.

my Disco was locking and unlocking ok not a problem then out of the blue the fobs worked intermittently for a couple of days now stopped altogether, now I've changed the batteries and done a resync, also when locking with the key ( in the drivers door) now the indicators don't flash ......HELP...

I just painted mine (after removing the material and old glue first)used grey undercoat first then mat black paint,was a bit smelly for a bit but soon went.

going to look at a D2 and would like a heads up on pre-purchase checks,is it the same as D1's Like rust rust and ummmm rust ,I've had a D1 for about 3 years it's a heavily moded one and now I'm doing more miles would like a bit to comfort so any advice would be good.

Agree I did pre mot checks and they were all working at the weekend and working now(without touching um) and checked the wheel bearing annnnnd think he's a .....well he's the tester.

Well it FAILED the bloody side lights not working and excessive play on a rear wheel bearing ......not bad considering.

Do you get any bonnet glare,all mine did was light up my dash,windscreen and bonnet.

Well think the Disco's rat free just need to check what damage if any the little blighter's caused.

Well he/she couldn't resist the chocolat so one less rat in this world,think he got in when I filled the back up with bags of corn,don't think it could get as I have one of the only solid Disco's ha ha.

The traps are set with chocolate just hope I don't catch the misses ��
