Thankyou i would like to fix the 2.o di but the mechanics round preston are not really wanting to do the head gasket. I have been quoted £550 and £800 . I was thinking more £150 + parts.

My 3 door DI 1999 just gave up the ghost. Head gasket failure. I just bought a 5 door of simular age. Are the 3 and 5 door seats the same as my 3 dr are leather and i'd like to swap them over.

I am using my Freelander 1 to commute. 2.0 DI The engine light comes on and you loose a little power. If you take the accelerator pedal of and re apply it goes of for a while. The fault code reading is 144 Injector Begin Control. What does this meen. Thankyou in advance.:D

All good. Took battery of replaced. Window stopped working. Took top of ecu of replaced. Checked all fuses again found 2 failed so a total of about 5. All works great ,moved relays about. Even the rear washer works. Going to spay grease the driver window wires now . Thankyou

Ive checked the fuzes all of them. The relays sound promising as I havn't done these yet. any colour ideas. Theres yellow ones and I have spares.

Yep defo take it of.It doesn't take long and as long as you use a good quiality allen key all will be good. I like the way it opens up the space so the other pipes around can be checked on.
