What have you done to your Freelander today

Traded it in!!!! It got to a point where she was costing too much, both in fuel and parts. Pretty sure the VCU was on its way out, has got tight over the past few weeks. So with a second little un on the way the missus convinced me that we needed to get a MPV (Ford S Max). It certainly has...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Changed the rear diff forward mount. It was totally knackered. Checked the other 2 and they are both fine. Should now stop the thump every time I change gear.

Tyre co. wrecked my IRD – need official proof

Never trust so called Tyre Fitting Experts! Kwik Fit came to the house to fit a new tyre to my wife's motability car. The so called Expert couldn't find the locking wheel nut key. Funny old thing it was in the boot, under the wrench next to the jack in the spare wheel. Where there is a cut...

Since having the thermostat replaced I am getting about 520miles out of a tank. Before the replacement it was close to 400miles.:clap2: Another bonus is the car now heats up.

What have you done to your Freelander today

Sun was out so treated her to a wash, while waiting for the Gas man. Also had a look at why the rear wiper wasn't clearing the top of the arc, and after removing the wheel carrier found one side of the wiper arm fixing to the spindle mount had snapped. Nothing I can do but had to order a new...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Changed all the wiper blades, should be able to see in the rain now. The rear wiper arm seems a loose and not giving much tension even though the spring looks complete. Looks like a job to investigate on Wednesday on day off.

What have you done to your Freelander today

Collected a nice warm Freelander now that the Thermostat has been changed. She comes up to the correct temp now and the heater finally kicks out Hot Air, not just Luke warm. All done under warranty, and glad it was as it came in at just over £500. Hopefully should improve the MPG too. Hope...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Hi. I fitted the BMW PCV to my 04 Td4 earlier. The old "loo roll" filter was absolutely sodden, looks like it had been there for the cars 95k. Thanks to all who had posted threads, the parts were easy to acquire and the job was straight forward. Changed the air filter too whilst I had the...

    Clutch Engagement

Hi. Everything was going fine with my Td4 this morning until after pulling out of a junction the clutch didn't engage fully and the revs just went up. Obviously I thought the clutch had gone, but there was no smell. I managed to change gear and the problem continued until i got into 4th and then...
