RonBox Synergy 2A arrived today.
Fitted it this afternoon.
Had a quick spin up the road & car feels way more responsive even on setting 3.
Have only got 2wd at the moment so not going to risk shreddin my tyres yet!
Secured it beside the ECU compartment where I can still get to the control setting if needed.

Sun was out so treated her to a wash, while waiting for the Gas man.

Also had a look at why the rear wiper wasn't clearing the top of the arc, and after removing the wheel carrier found one side of the wiper arm fixing to the spindle mount had snapped. Nothing I can do but had to order a new assembly.
Looks like a job for the weekend.

Think she's learned her lesson as she won't be driving it again and most of her monthly work bonus has just been swallowed up. Luckily our neighbour runs a body shop and has quoted £180 for the whole door spraying/repairing.

Gave the L Series 4.5L of Mr Castrol's finest 10w40 and a new filter. 15 minutes to change the oil and best part of 2 hours fiddling around getting the undertray back on.

The problem with the undertray is the nudge bars - the bottom bracket is held in place with the undertray bolt and 1 side is a bugger to line up. Thought this time I'd take the main nodge bar bolts out so that I could move it around a bit. Worked OK, got the undertray bolt in a lot easier - but then had to get the main UT bolts back in, oh dear, more fiddling which by this time was in the dark.

Still its all back together and ready for a road trip tour of the South of the South Island :) East Coast highway to Dunedin, over to Queenstown and then either back up the 'middle road' via the Lakes or the West Coast highway and back through 'Arthurs Pass'.

I turned down the settings on my Synergy tuning box.
The traction control only works up to 50kph but the torque & power increase from the tuning box means my 2wd Td4 is spinning its wheels way above that speed and the traction control won't help control it.
Will turn the settings back up once the prop shaft is back in place.

Less right foot?

Spent half the day measuring it....measure 400 times cut once and all that

Does that mean you'll have some light bars ready for sale soon??!

My chequer plate arrived so I can replace the useless bit of plastic on the under tray. Hopefully 3mm chequer plate will protect the important bits
