Went to start my '93 200 disco earlier and it's battery is flat as a pancake. Nothing at all was left on overnight and it worked absolutely fine yesterday evening. Only thing I noticed yesterday was that the rev counter went off when I was doing a lane, which happens for a minute if it gets wet...

The actuator rod does move by hand, it's quite hard though. It should be able to push backwards towards the bulkhead. Take the inlet hose off the front of the turbo and the compressor blades should be be able to easily spin freely. If none of the above happen, then you probably do have some kind...

Where did you get those breather pipes from JP? Who makes them?

They're just normal in car speakers mate. Halfords will be able to fix you up for them and they'll probably sound better too.

Are these predator alloys and do they actually look good on a disco? What kind of offset do they have compared to standard disco alloys? It's for my 200 by the way. Cheers.

Erm... I've not yet! I've not done any wading yet that's that deep so it's ok, but the various breather pipes are still waiting to be done, I'm thinking some length of water feature pipe and some araldite. Maybe...

Yeah, normal viscous fan is still there. Should be ok. Another question though, by fitting the larger IC without any tuning done to the injection pump, what will the performance and MPG be like?

I've just serviced it as it happens haha. I've not cleaned out the IC, what's the best way of doing it? The idea of a bigger one would be instead of buying an alisport one so I can tune the engine a bit.

Instead of getting an alisport intercooler or similar, could I just get a full sized one that goes in front of the grill, as in would it actually fit or is it just no doable on a disco? It's a 200tdi by the way. Cheers.

Fair enough then, is it just best to make a hole in the pipe leading into it and stick a small piece of tube into it and take the boost gauge off that? Or is that my bodging side taking over?

I'm thinking of getting one, but would I not be better off plumbing in the sender as close to the inlet fannymould as possible so as to get a more accurate reading rather than near the wastegate like normal? Or does the pressure stay constant even after the intercooler? Any advice? Cheers.

As above, is it really worth doing and if it is, how much of a ball ache is it to do? I can see the benefits though. Any thoughts or advice or anyone who's done it? Cheers.
