I could do the sensible thing and just drive around the water, :rolleyes: but then where's the fun in that.

I only intend utilising the muff whilst wading, got to be better than overheating due to a mud filled radiator. I can't see how it'd overheat with the muff on anyhow. Surely the fan will pull air through the rad from the grille below the bumper?

It's a TD5. I don't want the muff for temp, I only want it for wading. Might keep some of the shoite out of me engine bay and stop the rad from getting clogged up with flotsam and jetsam. I intend to make it like the old series muffs, so I can leave it on and just roll it up when I don't need it.

O.K. calm down you lot, nothing kinky. Just wanted to know if you can get radiator muffs to fit a Disco' II. I went off roading about 6mths back and despite several cleaning sessions of the engine bay, I still haven't got rid of all the mud / strands of grass etc. Can't help thinking a radiator...

Driving down steep hills in snow / ice I use engine braking only, no foot brake. Low box and 2nd gear, or 1st if it's real steep and slippy. Going up hill is fine in High box and D. Get out there in the white stuff and have a go!!!
