Need held with a clutch issue

about 3 weeks ago I took my D2 to a pay and play. There were a fair few parts which I couldn't get traction on and I was screwing the truck in both high and low ratio in first and second gear. Ever since that day I've had the smell of burning clutch which appears every now and then. The first...

Anti roll bar on 2" lif

Thanks for the advice. I've noticed a few different answers but my concern is that I've been told from others that it will handle like a boat if they are taken off and that's if it's lifted then I should use an extension for them to sit on. I want it to handle nicely on the road as that's where...

Anti roll bar on 2" lif

I wouldn't be able to put 2" blocks on there at the moment as the bush clamps that I have are on a hinge effect so would be awkward to put a flat bar against an uneven chassis . What will happen if I keep them in their original position ? And how does the vehicle handle with them removed

Anti roll bar on 2" lif

What are the likely problems which will occur if I keep my anti roll bars on a 2" lift . They are mounted in the original place without adding 2" to the chassis to accommodate. Am I likely to run into big problems or will they be fine. I'm on HD springs ( if that makes any difference) It's a...

    Tips for watts linkage

    Tips for watts linkage

im looking to remove my old watts linkage and replace it with another one which has already got polybushes in place. I'm looking for advice and tips on how to go about making the job easier so I don't run into problems. Is it as straight forward as taking the bolts out and removing the old one...

    Anti roll bar bushes

How much of a nightmare is it to replace the anti roll bar bushes on the front and back of a d2. I had a look the other day and the bolts look fairly rusted. And with a 2" lift is it worth taking them off or keep them for stability for when road driving. I've not got a.c.e

    Watts linkage

i need to either replace the full watts linkage or the centre bushes. Is it completely necessary to use genuine landrover bushes for longevity or are there any other reliable bushes that you would suggest ? Thanks

    Mudguard mounting panel

ive got an issue with the rear arch mudguard mounts being rusted very badly. They are now allowing the body panel to flap about. Upon a quick inspection I can see that the upper part of the mount where it's bolted/riveted to the higher part of the arch is broken and I'm trying to find the best...

    Clutch issues

i took my vehicle to a pay and play 4 days ago and it's the first time I'd been. I was in high ratio most of the time and after a while I was smelling my clutch burning. I drove it home and no issues. Two days later I went back after getting some advice and drove around 90% of the time I was in...

    Strange problem

The last few days my D2 td5 has been a nightmare to start and I wasn't sure if it was the starter motor solenoid that's knackered. But then the next day, same temperature it was difficult to start again and this time when it fired up it was very rough and lumpy with smoke which cleared seconds...
