    More key woes...

Hi all, sorry to have been so long in getting back to this, has the thread gone cold? I finally have a fully working number 2 key thanks mostly to Nickffc'c info and a lot of jumping up and down. RR thought I was trying to con the dealers out of a new key and wouldn't admit that they hadn't...

    More key woes...

Nick, thank you very much for this, I'll be on to the dealers first thing Tuesday. Let's hope they've had a relaxing Bank holiday because I'm not a happy bunny. You on the other hand are a hero. All the best, D

    More key woes...

Thanks Nickffc, I appreciate your help here as it should enable me to go back to the dealer (westovers) and get them to sort it out properly. I paid for the key upfront of course so unles I can talk them into a refund I'll have to force the issue with them. Your info from your supplier will be...

    More key woes...

Hi all, So here's where I'm at... I called another dealer and they said "sure, no problem" so I asked them to call me back and confirm they could get me a number 3 or 4 key. They did and said yes they could do just that. Then I called the original dealer who said they could only get a no.1 key...

    More key woes...

Aha! So now I'm going to dig out the truth and confront westovers and if they've given me a bum steer I'll drag 'em over the coals I will! I'll keep you posted D

    More key woes...

Lock outs are one thing but I've only had the one key since I bought my P38 over a year ago so I thought I had better get a spare. I talked to Westover land rover in Salisbury and they said they would order another key from RR, then I would have to go and collect it from them and they would...

    Replacement key fobs

Hi all, Am I right in thinking that the only way to get another key fob for the P38 is to go to a RR dealer? Cheers! D

    P38 Obsolete!!!???

I wonder if the tools and moulds are out there somewhere, maybe there's a niche market in obsolete trim for Landies. Anyone got Alan Sugar's phone number?

    P38 Obsolete!!!???

Absolutely! They're all still on the road, driving around looking for interior trim! Tried LRSERIES.COM but nothing there, tried another outfit in the states and awaiting a reply... I can't believe it really, after all, it's about now that we're all thinking about a bit of renovation...

    P38 Obsolete!!!???

Britpart are claiming that some parts for the P38 are no longer available. Some of these vehicles are only 10 years old so how come that's happening? Anyway, the parts in question are interior trim, in particular the upper post trims for the middle (b/c BTR9069LUM) and rear upper post trim...

Thanks guys, I'll get the codes read. I was hoping it was a common thing like a dodgy relay... Thanks, G

    air con issue

Yep, the very same. However, today it has behaved itself so it's an unreliable unreliability! Any clues? Cheers, G

    air con issue

Hi all, My air con works fine for about 5 minutes then drops out with a fault warning appearing in the controller display and the a/c is still 'on'. Stopping the engine and restarting, re-sets the a/c and again it runs for 5... Any ideas? Relay perhaps... I'll stop guessing, haven't got a clue...

Saying hi from a new member

You're right to ask 'what is low mileage' 79k on a 99 plate is low mileage. anything under 100k is low mileage in my humble opinion. Check for the obvious, like aircon, central locking and see when the last service of belts and filters, gearbox oil etc. Air suspension bags should be good for...

Saying hi from a new member

I've got a 2.5 diesel and I'm happy with it. Some threads here you may have read refer to them being a bit sluggish, and they are but you get used to it and at least I won't be giving anymore points away to the DVLC. If you get a good one that has been serviced, low mileage, not much abuse...

    Sensor location
