    guys bog thanks for the advise - unfortunalty i didn't have a choice so had to risk it... RAC newly purchased :-) what i did do was take the A1 - Parking bays every mile or so, and also i could drive at any speed with the only challenge of ****ing off the sunday evening lorry drivers...

    Thats what i thought and was told too... i will admit to the generaly male flaw of not being able to see anything infront of them.... but hell we couldn't find it - the Haynes (yes i should burn it) sort off suggested where it was... but looked and looked... Anyway - all sorted now - happy...

    i know - big risk. especially with a 200 mile journey between me and my bed... i've put it back together and just come back from a 10 mile test drive and nothing going on with it... so will take the risk - A roads all the way :-) new part will be put on at the next wekk to make sure though...

    Just checking if i need any special tools to change the hoses on the auto box cooling hoses and any other work i should do - changing the gear boax oil and removing the intercooler. and is it really 9.5 ltrs of transmission fluid to change the oil? Need to know as car currently 200 miles...
