    After fitting new Fuel Injection pump (2.5d) should it start straight away?

    oK, a new one hasnt been fitted, but the old one resealed up to stop a leak? But its not starting... I need a new battery anyway I think.. but am I right in thinking it will need to turn over a bit to pump more fuel into to the pump? Is there anything I need to do to help prime it?

    oK, i havent fitted a new one, but had the old one resealed to stop a leak.. but now its full of air and only a little diesel.. I need to change my car battery too, so i'm trying to jump start it and now it wont start.. do i need to bleed the air out? and how? thanks
