    LT77 crunching after rebuild

I put difflock evo 1 oil in it. I thought i would splash out on some good oil for it. Yeah, i thought it would be down to the bulk rings / synchros, ive rebuilt over boxes in the past, so i know how they work. Would it be down to poor quality synchros or not properly fitted / spaced?

    LT77 crunching after rebuild

alright. Ive jusu had my lt77 box rebuilt after spinning the mainshaft, due to the splines wearing through. Anyway, got my box rebuilt at a local gearbox specialist. 200 TDi Brake problems

All the wheel bearings have only just recently been replaced (in last 6 months), and there is no play in them what so ever, so I can’t see it being them. The only thing, but it’s a long shot, that may be causing the pads to knock away from the disc, is that I stretched the springs...

    200 TDi Brake problems

yeah i adjusted up the rear shoes. The adjuster only went round another click. The pedal is really random. Its fine for the first few pedal usages, then seems to become random after that. I think it might be pointing towards the master cylinder, like tombardier's Hyundai.

    200 TDi Brake problems

alright, Just a quick question, do you think these symptoms point towards a faulty brake master cylinder? Since about 2 weeks ago, the brake pedal seems to have a lot of travel, feel soft and reduced braking efficiency one minute, then hard, hardly any travel and good braking (which is how it...

Defender 90 Rear Brake Lock Up

Alright, On the way to and from work today, i had to brake quite hard due to muppets on the road not indicating to which direction they are going. Any way, on both occasions the rear brakes (drums) locked up, and left some nice number 11's on the road. Ive done a search on here, and found a...

    Inner Hub Seal Woes

good plan, i will check the breather tomorrow. If it is the breather, why would it only be blowing grease out on the drivers side? and not the passenger side?

    Inner Hub Seal Woes

i put a fair amount in, but left some space for it to 'breathe' as if were. yes, put the seal in the right way, with the hollow C section towards the bearings, and the 'lip' towards the stub axle, tapped it in until the lip was level with the rear of the hub. when i removed the first leaking...
