Injector pump hissing noise.

I have a 2002 Freelander TD4, when I turn the ignition on I can hear the in tank and lift pumps working but I can also hear a loud hissing noise coming from the injector pump, it sounds like air is escaping, this noise does not stop until the tank and lift pump stops which is 1 minute, is this injector pump noise normal or is there something wrong?

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but my girlfriends 2003 freelander has the exact same problem. Did you manage to solve this issue? Any advice would be great. Thanks
