Hi, I have been offered a full set of discovery 3 wheels and tyres with good tread. Will the wheels fit on my 300tdi Also my tyres are 235/70/16 and the tyres on the disco 3 wheels are 235/70R17 I assume this wouldnt create any problesm on the 300tdi Any comments owuld be welcome.

I had a 99 td5 with turbo problems including lack of power and a hissing noise similar to what you describe in your post and the culprit was a faulty gasket on the inlet manifold. Hard to beleive as the car started first time every time and didnt smoke etc Might be woth a look !

Frankly I was gob smacked as you could rock the inlet manifold from side to side. How then engine even worked at all was unbelievable yet it started first time and ran perfectly except for the turbo WEIRD or WHAT - Thanks again for the advice.........
