im gona ditch the two back seats, ill keep the standard 5, with that checker plate did you get a new floor then put that in over top or is that replacing the floor now as i was think of going that route, but never new if you ditch the floor and use checker plate or put new floor then that over top

thanks, id love to do that but to much for me to do and couldnt get it there, need a way were it is now im all on the work but will be long just seen people put sum products on the chassis and it cleans it up but not shore on that really, think its gona be elbow grease lol

any advice on cleaning up whole chassis, preping for alot of welding and por 15 the whole chassis as soon as finished work, i was thinking jet wash dirt and crap then wire wheel on a angle grinder and go to town, but if you've had a easy route how to do this any help would be great as my route...

the only bit i cant get my head around is that its not straight bit of metal its bumpy and gos in and out in and out how would u make that to same specs, im worried about that as if cant do it write ill have to scrap the back seats

is it possible to get some replacment panels as mine are half gone, rust has ate it away, so making one with be to hard as no template, also all the holes and nuts are on there for rear seats please help what do i do also floor should be welded to them :(

hi my disco 1 has some issues to be fair, and ive found some holes in chassis and just like some advice on it please, theres couple bad parts and rest is smaller holes, im shore they could be repaired but will it be strong again and safe ?? is it worth doing etc ?? there is strong metal...

i thought that too but there not major holes that cant be repaired so gona give it a go if i come to stuck and something cant be done ill get rid

hi, ive took on a project with this discovery 300tdi, it had alot of rust issues but i new this and took it on anyway as it was 500 pound, and had a full engine rebuild with new gearbox, clutch, transfer box 30,000 miles ago, brand new lift kit, poly bushed ect, so a good base when rust is gone...

MAX BAXTER, after a few mistakes and alot of research has taught me ur gona need 2 wading plugs which is a 10er, axle breathers (pipes that come from axles up to top of ur snorkle) as when ur axles hot from of roading then u go through water it cools down causing suction which then sucks water...

worked out to be clutch release bearing as clutch still works fine and gears work perfect no clonking or gear grinding, just bearing sometimes grinds when clutch pushed down, were grit or muds in there so moral of the story is buy these WADING PLUGS or IT WILL COST YOU IN THE LONG RUN OR IN ARE...

there so important you wouldnt believe, 2 bolts 10 pound, new clutch and clean out 470 :( buy some gez TRUST u were lucky mate :)
