i get exactly the same noise from my DHSE. i removed the windscreen trim last year to renew the plenum filter. i didn't notice any clips or fastners missing. unfortunately i have no idea what the noise is

i would think that genuine overfinch RR's would have an engine upgrade, (probably a chevy or similar) and probably suspension upgrade too. anything else (mostly seen on ebay) that just has badges and bodykits is 'mutton dressed as lamb'.

i've bought parts from Island 4x4 before. reasonable prices and good mail order. probably not be genuine landrover though Transmission & Propshaft -

this might be a very stupid option but perhaps you could lower the front windows, then remove the fuse that controls them - no glass visible to inspect and easier than changing doors or removing glass. one point,not sure what other systems may be on that fuse. just a thought

not sure about NI, but i think in mainland Britain the law says that front windows must let in 70% of natural light. the cops have a machine that can test it. my 2001 DHSE has a light tint on the front door windows which i think was a landrover option

yes, hopefully just the hose. after the AA made a temporary repair i drove it ten miles to North East 4x4 (local specialist). i didnt notice any steering problems so hopefully it will be alright. might be a reasonably expensive hose though as the rubber upper bit was 'swaged' to an aluminium...

when i tow my trailer, i start the engine, keep doors closed so that it rises to normal level, then press the button to lock the suspension in that position. not sure if its right, but it seems to work ok
