    book & exclamation mark

This morning, when i started my DHSE, the dreaded book and exclamation mark symbols appeared on the HEVAC display. the footwell air was cold and the windscreen air hot (with the temp set hot). then after about a 1/2 hour journey, next time i started the car, everything was fine and the book and...

    should i swap?

mine just misses the tax band cut - its 28 days too young and i will be facedwith £450/year from 2010. i think i'll just put up with it because i love the P38. if i were looking to buy one now i would try and find a DHSE registered just before march 2001.its a real buyers market at the moment...

    should i swap?

i've had my 2oo1 dhse for 18 months (22,000miles) with no major problems. its slow and averages 25mpg but so comfortable. being registered after march 2001 means it will be £455/year tax from 2010. i love my dhse and as long as it stays reliable, i can put up with high tax and fuel bills

    Hello and advice needed!

supremely comfortable, especially the HSE or DHSE models with lots of toys. diesels are very slow to get going, hopeless for speedy overtaking but cruise well at speed. my 2001 is quite reliable - no serious breakdowns in 20k miles though little niggles like dodgy door locks. for servicing i...

    door won't open from inside

Hi, just went out to the supermarket (to buy nappies) and couldn't get out. when i pulled the door opener it felt a bit weird as if something broke. now it feels like the inside handle is not connected to anything. i opened the window and used the outside door which was fine. anyone know what...

    P38 Range Rover

you might just about manage to get a half decent insurance quote for a diesel. they are after all, slower than a snail. running costs will be high, especially if you're doing a lot of miles. i have a DHSE and i think it has all the toys that a vogue has Also beware, 4x4's have unusual handling...

    P38 Fuel & Sound

i think that works out at 15.9mpg. my dhse does more like 25 but its also so slow it can't actually do 80/90 kmh!!

    Request for info

Just how bad is the build quality of the post 2000 RR's? or is it a cse of the people just not servicing their rides? my 2001 p38 appears to be well built, except perhaps the glove box which doesn't seem to close that well
