Hi guys, thanks for the replies. on the third picture you can see above each of the headlamps that something (bracket ?) is broken hence it's only connected to the front by the middle screw and of course the the bumper. Hmm, so it's a standard part......bloody Pillings Land Rover!

Hi all, about to put a new back box on my Disco TDI (1998 manual) and the U clamp to the middle bit of the exhaust has completely rusted up. Contacted the local car factors and they asked for the dimensions/size, anyone know the answer? Cheers Al

They used to fit in the compartments all nice and snug but neither of them will buge no matter how hard I pres (or bang them...), they must come apart somehow?:confused:

I've taken it to an independant Landy garage for a check up and the diagnostics machine claims all is fine with both the engine and gearbox. Hi, I'm intending to replace the XY switch in my 2002 TD5 Disco ES and I see that there's a special tool required, is there a way around this as it's quite expensive or maybe it's possible to rent it from somewhere. Anyone changed an XY switch, any advice? Cheers Al

I have a problem with my gearchange as well. I have an 02 TD5 ES, and when I put my foot down I have similar problems with the Landy not knowing which gear to change to, changed the MAF filter, loom under the rocker and now I reckon I'll change the XY switch. Hopefully that'll make some difference
