Judging by what I see when I've followed other Discos the same age as mine the circled space is where a second tail light bulb is/can be fitted. As is visible on this pic it appears to be blanked off, can this be removed so bulb and holder can be fitted? ps this is for tail light not indicator.

I eventually got off my bum and went to scrap yard and bought a pair of bulb holders yet when I went to fit them the spaces for them appear to have some form of blanking plate fitted! :eek: How do you remove them as they don't look permanent?

I realise this thats why I am hoping to get a Series III in good running order and just concentrate on improving/altering the bodywork more than a complete rebuild. It's more a project than a poor-mans way to own a Landy. ps I've already got a Disco....

The disco kid, there is one thing you need to be careful of with the Disco 3. As it weighs more than 3 ton empty, with a full tank of diesal/petrol and carrying a total of 4 passengers the driver will need an lgv licence to drive it.

Have a serious look at using Reddex diesal (and petrol) addative. I was getting 430 miles out of a tank on my '94 300TDi and after using Reddex in last four tanks am getting much closer to 600 miles per tankfull!
