well i bit the bullet and ordered a complete stainless system,,,, without the cat,,, i will save the old cat then if it fails the mot i will refit the cat,, fingers crossed..

is that possible to smash out the guts from a cat then.. just asking..lol by the seems of things,, the down pipe containing the cat part are all mild steel anyway even when bought as part of a stainless system, which seems odd..

Hi im hoping some of you may be able to shed some light on a question i have. At present i have a 96 300tdi 90.. which needs a new exhaust. i was hoping to replace it with a new one less the cat that it has at present. but after popping into my local exhaust centre they said it was not allowed...

what its called will depend on the moment,, especially if its not working..lol

we have a local motor factors that sell just the flexable joint for a repair.. cliffords of brighton.. if thats of any help.. they do various sizes as might have one that suits.. worth a call anyway if nothing else comes up

I Cant believe your all handing over that sort of money for what pretty basic jobs.. even replacing the swivels isnt hard.. i did mine this summer, had never done it before just followed the landrover service manual nice an steady and had no issues.. think the kit only cost around 90 quid a...

i just replaced mine recently, and dont remember there being a left and right hand,, just top and bottom..

so if you use the carling switches the existing plugs fit straight on... thats makes it nice and easie then,, BTW thats a very clean floor pan...

Ill be watching the reply's with interest as i too will soon be fitting a raptor consul, and also want to move the switches to a more viewable location,,

yep, mine does the same,, just learnt to live with it.. how far over it goes depends on how much its raining,, more lube/ rain, allows it to travels further i guess

pulled the bayonets off cleaned and copper greased, ,, still no different.. earth next

i will run an earth back to the battery and see if thats the problem,,
