Thanks , no I was cleaning out the car and when I opened the glove box I noticed the light was hanging loose a bit went to pop it back in and ping it blew the fuse

Well folks after weeks and weeks of trying to work out the issue I was having with my instrument cluster illumination blowing Fuse 3 it turned out to be the glove box light was knocking against the metal recess in which it’s situated as one side of the cover had a broken lug.

Wow after weeks of searching I came across this , having the same issue with my 2003 D2 , what I found was I replaced the bulb the first time and after an hour of using it blew so be checking the 5 points you guys have mentioned

When I mean discoloured I meant a bit burnt looking , no water in around fuse box area ??
