Ive got a 2001 dhse and had a load of electrical problems cleaned the main earth for the fusebox and added a new earth from the battery to the earth under the fusebox in the engine bay

Ive just fitted a pump in my p38 you can do it on your own if the tanks totally empty but its easier with 2 people just for the size of the tank.

I got one of these car fm radio transmitter of ebay and its crap went to a pound shop and got a cassette with a lead and plug that in works great and cheaper:)

I had the same problem with my (DHSE) turned out to be the earth from the battery to the body. I've put in a secondary earth from the battery to the body not had the faults back since give it a try see if it works

I have the plugin style box from (van aakin) on my 2001 dhse 24/26 mpg in town and 29/31 mpg on a run total diff drive 0-60 now in 18/20 seconds. And i get 26/28 towing my caravan hope this helps RAV

Hi lads my 2001 dhse auto was rough and clunky on gear change 1st-2st and 4th & 3rd going down i put (stop slip) in the box its as smooth as silk now.:D Lucas Oil Products (UK) - Heavy Duty & High Performance Lubricants NO dipstick on mine level plug on the box its on the n/side of the box...

Check you got fuel to the injectors if you have then work your way back to the tank it mite be the pump in the tank.

Hi martyn It sounds like the EAS pump is on the way out or the piston seal in the pump. You can get replacement seals on (EBAY Item number: 270206458). As for the bulb i think there is 2 screws at the top under the lid of the of the cubby box. Have a look at this web site it gives a lot help...
