starting problem

hi all ok me rangey DHSE 2001 diesel has develod a starting problem. first start of the day it winds over and over for about 20 secs starts but miss a little then its ok runs as per normal and is ok all day starts first time
changed the glow plugs no change was told it was the pump in the tank changed thatb and it seemed to sort the problem for a day or two but back the same.
The pump must have been changed as when i had the tank off the pipes to the tank had been cut put back with rubber pipe and clips changed the pipes but still the same i'm at a loss now.
need help urgent

most likely cause is a injector spill off pipe, you cant always tell if they leak by looking at them either. make sure and get some decent quality ones to replace them or they dont seem to last five minutes, i bought mine from landrover. they came in pre cut lenghts and cost around 30 quid.

Yes, as above, my dse had the same problem , no fuel leak but changed the leak off pipes and now starts as good as gold

Its so nice when its a cheap easy fix
