FL2.....Might be a good time to buy

I've been watching 2nd hand FL2 prices for a few months now and they were static for a long time but I have noticed in the last few weeks that prices at dealers (LR & indies) have all gone up!

I've been on the lookout for a FL2 TD4 GS and they were hovering around the £13-14K mark since December last year. My budget is £11-12K so have been watching for a little drop. However, I was checking prices yesterday and can't find one for less than about £15K now.

Guess I'll hang onto my FL1 for a bit longer... Oh yeah, and I don't qualify for the scrappage.

Cheers

I'd say the static prices are seasonal, everyone wants a 4x4 in the winter months and soft top in the summer.

Sure the prices may have gone up but are they rolling off the forecourt, I'd doubt it very much.

At £21k new, the competition has has much more to offer, greener credentials and better tax bands.

That's what I would have thought but prices are going the other way??

But they don't look as good and don't have a mini-RRS interior :p

Also, might just be me but when the facelift of the FL1 happened (2003ish) suddenly all the pre-facelift cars looked old. However, now that the FL2 looks more like the pre-facelift model at the front suddenly it's now the facelifted cars look old and the older ones look better again.
