Hi,
Ive been asked to help sort my sons disco 3 that failed its test on offside rear upper arm bushes and both rear hub bearings. Ive managed to remove the hub upper and lower bush bolts and astonishingly the ABS sensors. but for the life of me I cant get the hub of the rear shaft. ive used a good solid bar and sledge but its on there good and hard. what do others use. anyone used a puller if so any particular one best.
Thanks

Not done one msyelf, hope never have to as read they can be an arse, why no pop down to your local garage and ask them what they use?

Just looked on ebay, loads for 60 to 70 quid.

I'd replace the whole hub carrier, C/W bearings and the hub itself.
The shaft should come out the spline OK, but make sure there's sufficient slack in the shaft for it to move, as it'll never move if it's solid against the diff bearings.
