Hi. Hope someone can help.
Just bought a 2003 td4 freelander which the PO says that he thought low pressure fuel pump was the reason it took ages to start. So I have changed it And cleared out the separator. think I connected the right pipes as I can’t see how you can go wrong.
Anyway it won’t start. I don’t have a scanner (any recommendations appreciated on a low cost scanner) so can’t see any codes.
When you turn ignition on the pump turns on.

Any advice appreciated.

Did you also change the fuel filter?
Clean the fuel pressure sensor contact on the rail well.
If there is no improvement, disassemble injectors and one by one connected to the rail actuate the starter, all should expel fuel. It would be nice to check the glow plugs.

I have delphi aliexpres, very good.

If it was connected like this then yes it's correct.

Do a leak back test on the injectors, also check the regulator on the HPFP as the O-rings can leak, cost of new ones about £5.25 and an hours work to change them.
