1968 series 2a restoration

This site gives details of a few eqivalents for the same part number. They seem to all say 3/8" UNF.

The paint looks like it went on well. What paint did you use?
Keep up the photos, I'm about to start on a Marine Blue '75.

Hi Al, it was tractol enamel, I got the 5lt in marine blue and a litre of limestone for wheels and roof, not sure if it will be enough for sides also. It was brilliant paint, my first time using any enamel, I thinned it around 10% and it went on great. I used etc prime first then a high build primer and wet and dry flattened it all back. I ordered gloss and afterwards I was worried it would be too shiney for an older landy but to be honest to really not that glossy, more a sheen. I was going to brush apply, then last minute I bought a cheap fence/wall type sprayer and it gave really good results. Just applied light coats and could give a second coat about half an hour after first.

Yep, you can ! I've found it is cheaper on the bay .... or deal direct with Smith and Allan

Yeah I got it from ebay also, I had visions of ot turning up and being like gloss paint in consistancy, but i would also highly recommend it same as Disco1bfg, I gave each coat a quick light rub down 24 hrs after, but It went on smooth enough that you wouldnt really have to. Highly recommend the high build primer too! That wasn't the same supplier but il check tonight.

The suppliers name of the etch primer and high build primer was Churchill paints, that was from e bay also.

Update so far.. not had any time to work on the landy over the past 3 weeks or so so got back out last night and got the bulkhead and floor panels etc all final coated with paint and gave the rear tub one last coat. Hoping this week to have the sides and roof finished prep ready for paint so that I can get the rear half back together before starting on the front wings and bonnet.
