Mine corners far better than my hilux did. Not sure that's an achievement though haha.

I don't get how a 110 can even go fast enough to see any benefit from lowering lol. You driver a defender like a defender surely.

It depends what you mean by well, I would consider mine corners well, but there is some body roll. It depends what you are using as bench mark, there is more body roll than on a M5 but considerably less than on a 2CV.

I reckon the OP's benchmark may well be his car, what ever that is.

Yeah that's true. I had this convo with my mate the other day. I've driven miles in all sorts from flat bed Iveco 3.5t to top range audis, mercs and beemers. I traded my hilux for a 90 as always wanted one and assumed I'd take a big hit on comfort. To be honest, the only thing that evens bothers me is the transfer ratio which is obviously an easy fix. The seat position has stopped the hip pain I kept getting (I'm now upright rather than trying to sit in a car like way) and I'm more comfortable in the defender! Elbow room doesn't even bother me, plenty head room, bulkhead removal bar has stopped any issue with seat position. I've actually been pleasantly surprised when I was expecting total opposite. I suppose you have really got to want one though. Its the most enjoyable driver I've had under 300bhp. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather do miles in a 435 but a 435 doesn't take my gear, dog for a ride and I was so sick of losing money on cars!
I can totally see why 'car' people moan about comfort, noise etc but buy a Mondeo if that's your worry. It's has the price and you can hear your passenger lol

That is the problem though, car people compare it to a car and complain, anyone who's perfect car is high horsepower and fast is going to be horrible disappointed. It should be compared to a truck or like for like true utility vehicle (not an suv). Truck people like them and think they are great, as you said you have to want one, and properly want one for what it is, rather than want one for what it looks like and complain about it what it is!
