I have a Range Rover 200tdi engine fitted to my 90. Most of the conversion has been home made, well by my mechanic anyway. He made me some oil pipes, by extending the original pipes. But they keep breaking, so I bought some Steve Parkers pipes. The problem is that my oil pump has the old rounded (imperial?) Fitting, but the Steve Parkers pipes come with the metric fittings.
I have been to 4 different hydralic pipe companies in the Barnsley area, and non of them can help. Has anyone come up with this issue in the past? What solutions are there?

I went to a hydraulic fittings place and got the fittings and pipe and made my own pipes up, been on there 15 years now. Surely someone will do a metric/imperial converter?

Not in Sheffield, Rotherham or Barnsley. They either said they wouldn't, couldn't or can't be bothered to do it. I've come up with a solution though. I'm going to get some oil cooler connectors for a 19J oil cooler, I'm going to put them in my 200tdi oil cooler, may have to rethread them, then fit 19J hoses, which will hopefully be long enough.

Your hydraulic pipe people are clearly unimaginative idiots with no ability to problem solve - I guarantee you they have all the bits in stock but because it is not clear cut and they have no brain-cells they fob you off.

I go to Pirtek for my pipes, however, I found these guys recently: https://www.flowfitonline.com/hydra...n-hydraulic-hose/gates-hydraulic-hose-builder
