I am struggling with the oil cooler pipes for my 200tdi disco conversion as part of my rebuild after an engine fire (thread)
I previously had a discovery 200tdi conversion in my '89 110 and used the following oil cooler pipes:
NTC2928
NTC2927
These are the oil cooler pipes with the conical fitting that is a compression fit.

These are the fitting I have on my old engines oil filter and my all metal radiator so these are what I ordered as replacements to fit my new (to me) engine. The new engine has the later style o-ring oil cooler fitting on the oil filter.

No problem I though I will just swap the fittings over from my old oil filter. However this is not possible as the adapter is a different thread and will not screw into the oil filter housing. After a little research the old style cone fitting seems to be imperial and the new o-ring style fitting are metric.

I believe this leaves me with two options either get the radiator adapters for the o-ring style cooler lines or swap the complete oil filter housing over. Are there any other options?

I think my preference is to get the o-ring adapters for the radiator as I can then use the Steve Parker conversion pipes which have a far better routing paths than the ones I was using previously. I believe to go this route I need to get a pair of ESR1262 but suppliers are saying you now need to use NTC3858 is that correct?
