Hello,

My early Defender is getting less mileage these days and the weekly or bi-weekly start ups to keep her running and charged are getting harder.
I think with all the fuel draining out of the carb and lines it takes a lot of cranking to get her to kick over. Often killing the battery in the process.
I want to fit a facet pump in line as many have suggested it removes some of the issues of the original set up.
What I wanted to know was can I just fit it in the existing pipe outside of the under seat tank? Also (and perhaps more importantly) do I need to remove, electrically isolate or bypass the lucas in-tank pump and sender, or will the facet just run with it and act like a booster.
If anyone has done this please pass me some details.
A description of a set up and wiring would be gold
