Hi All

I have a 2011 TDV8.

I have a noisy fan in the passenger footwell which is equally as loud from the battery compartment under the bonnet. The fan appears to be related to the heater maxtrix as the noise stops when it is turned off, although not straight away.

Any ideas where I should be looking for this fan?

Thanks

I am not fully up on the later L322's, but the earlier ones used to suffer from a noisy little fan on the HVAC control panel - this little fan draws interior air over a temp sensor.....if it could covered in fluff and unbalanced - it would be quite noisy.

It could also be a blower motor - again early models had a single fan motor built centrally in the heater box - the laters ones may have two fans - one for the drivers sdie one for the pax.....you may have a noisy fan bearing!

Others may be better placed to help with the later L322's than I!

Thanks, yes I am struggling to find any parts diagrams for this year of car.

It’s not the centre console temp sensor fan as this was my initial thought after reading through the forum.

It must be a bearing of some description, the reason why I wouldn’t have thought it was the blower motor is because it’s not consistent?

I guess my only option is to start dismantling and see what I get to, I was hoping to get an idea what it was before doing this though!

Cheers
