Ookay wheezy noise

ok I have a lack of turbo and a wheezy noise in a 2006 td4. Cant find a split in the intercooler hoses. Turbo appears to spool up after about 3k revs. What sort of connections go from the turbo outwards cos I will have the bottom guard off at the weekend cos it realky sounds like it is coming from low down. Would a dodgy exhaust cause it?

Just to add power is right down particularly uphill and needing to change down to make the thing move

Check the elbow boost pipe. That's normally the one that splits. But if that's ok, check all the others carefully. Look near the clips as that's often where they go. They have a habit of looking fine off boost, but split when under pressure.

If you can put a finger in a split. It'll stop the boost from building and make the noise you describe.

Nope had them all off nowt like that. It feels like a split hose, my first thought was ah split hose but they arent ! I took all 3 off today, nowt. So I am now thinking lower down

There are 4 boost hoses. There's 1 round the back of the engine, clipped to the turbo itself. Although the rear hose doesn't split very often. You could also check the manifold for splits too, as that's been know before now.

Oh arse I so hope it aint the manifold

Guessing they have them... have you checked the intercooler? Unlikely but could be a blown core?

Ok not induction roar. The maifold between exhaust and turbo is loose! Is studs with nuts? What size are the huts? Help !!?

It is the manifold with 2 studs that gors to the egr valve so I am guessing that this is the problem

check the metal pipe that goes to the egr a certain person did not put the special clip back on and the power was down
