Just gauging the amount of newer Discoveries owned by members as there seems very little threads on the 3 and newer but hopefully not for long.
If more than 1 please indicate the youngest model

Its a D2 (pre-facelift) at the moment. Have owned 200 and 300tdis and although the D2 looks very similar it is a much more modern vehicle.

Would love to be able to afford a D3 or D4. I could probably go out and buy a D3 tomorrow but wouldnt be able to afford the maintenance bills on it!

I've had mine 4 days and its not cost anything in maintenance bills:D

It seems in the last two years there has been a definite increase in D2 applicable posts.

Now we are seeing D3 posts....mostly by someone called gstuart, although I have seen some posts by a newcomer called Biggeeeeeeeeeeeeee...........:p:p

Cheers

would be nice to see a few more D3 , maybe as mentioned as people buy them , to do some threads in order to build up some more information on them

So where is the button for a series 1 V8 then?
Anyways got one of them which is going for spares when I get myself organised to advertise it, but it's LHD cos I live in France, I also have a 200tdi LHD which will be condemmed next June at testing time, and its so far gone with 400,000 k on it I can't be arsed to fix it.
So I'm looking out for a late 300tdi, pref with aircon auto box and leather, but has to be LHD so they are rare and expensive over here.:( To be honest I don't mind spending a bit on the right one as I expect it to be the last one I'll need to buy. Gettin older by the day me.:(
It would be a lot easier to get a Td5 of the right spec but can't be having the hassle of all those electrickery bits and needing fault code readers etc, spanner, screwdriver and big hammer being my favored tools.;)

Was there but it rusted away - sorry!
HA I know exactly what you mean, it hasn't run for about 5 years now (but it does start) as it was too dear to keep stopping at every other fuel station, couple of years ago started replacing the boot floor, as you do, then had health issues which held up work for 18 months and now lost all interest in the bloody thing.
By the way if yours had been LHD I would have bid you on that, even though it would have been a pain in the arse getting to pick it up.
There has been one on ebay recently which on the face of it looked just what I was after but somehow it just did'nt feel right to me, LHD auto with all french paperwork etc, there was just a niggle in the back of my mind so as I have 6 months to replace my weekender I'll just keep looking.

Drive a '92 D1 200tdi 3 door with no sunroofs & 7 seats, in garden & sorta on the job list is the 'spare' '94 200tdi 3 door with no sunroofs & 5 seats (in last 500 chassis numbers of 200 series but 300 type chassis / axles)
Both in that fetching met. green paint scheme with brown interior o_O

Used to own a '91 3.5i v8 5 door in met blue paintwork with blue (sonar??) interior but stupidly let it sit & my Oldman sold it for £200 6 years ago

Would never buy a Disco past the D2's as I don't like them & much prefer the D1's agricultural simplicity as well as styling

Rich (in need of therapy)

Ps.
My mrs is clinically insane & wants a full production run (89-94?) of '200' series D1's & if possible Landrovers starting from an 80" all the way up to defender :)
