Hi guys, need to replace the screen seals - is it literally a case of hooking the existing ones out and putting the replacements straight in ? Or as with seemingly everything Defender related, is it not that simple ?!

Thanks in advance !

Oooh... It's been ages since I did this and it was during a full restoration anyway so the truck was in bits.
The top of the bulkhead has 4? Pins that locate into the bottom of the Windscreen frame, the seal has 4? Holes in it that the pins go through. The pins are not very tall but you will see that the frame will need lifting around an inch to get the seal in and out.
If you undo all the m6 nuts and bolts around the roof skin as far back as the b posts you should be able to lift the roof up enough to replace both seals.
It's not difficult just a bit long winded, if its a tatty tratter then it might be easier to just seal the gaps with sealent?
Be prepared to find rust on the top of the bulkhead where the seal sits.

Make sure to have a good look at the top corners of your bulkhead while youre there.......the seals like to hold water there and while youve got the seal out it will be a good indication on any future work coming up!
The bulkhead that was on my 90 was trashed because of this, and the fact I bent it when I rolled, The replacement I bought is bad too, spent a few hours on it already replacing the corners!

This picture shows one side of the bulkhead, with two of the locating spikes and how the seal fits over them. Two spikes on the drivers side too.
