Hi....Thank you for looking.....I have some gremlins in my freelander 99
It all started after installed an aftermarket stereo Blaupunkt...Overtime my time clock in the centre of the dash failed and you cant reset the date / time so i purchased another 2nd hand clock and its still the same you cant adjust the time....Also the Blaupunkt works alright however it has a habit of turning itself off & also works without the ignition being on ? I have removed the unit disconected the battery for an hour and after reconection the clock still wont let me change the time settings.
Anyone had issues simular...Thanks for your help

On early cars the clock is linked to the radio as it is the display for it, may need the original radio in for the adjust function to work.
You probably need to wire in a later clock only display, and also look at the permanent live and switched live you have going to the new radio

Thanks Longdog....Both the clock & radio was fine worked fine before...I fitted an aftermarket radio when i got the freelander... i think it was a Kenwood unit and all was well until i replaced it with the Blaupunkt unit.....I understand the original land rover radio / tape player used the clock display hence i replaced like for like on the clock display....Scratching head
