Would love to have this.

From the article:
This 1967 Land Rover 109 SIIA (chassis 34300520A) has been restored and extensively modified with Discovery axles, four wheel discs and a 4.0L V8/automatic Rover drivetrain. Quality of workmanship appears to be very high throughout, and though perhaps a bit posh for an old Landie, we can’t help but be impressed by what we see.

it does look nice but why do all that to a series in the us?

plenty of seller bull in the description, "the grandfather of suv's" :D

As much As I havent got the disposable to spaff on that .....WHY NOT ....

Seems like a very useable series to me ....OK it's not rivet counter perfect BUT it has been done very well AND contains some VERY tasty bits .

Meccano for grown ups AND series are made to be made individual ....least it's still on Leafs .

each to his own and all that but for that money you could get a brand new suburban or other high seat capacity suv with space to seat up to 8 in comfort etc, lot of money to spend to still have a cramped interior.

one thing I would say about that series is where is the roll cage? if you do all that surely a cage would be one of the first things to have put on, internal one maybe to keep the outside aesthetics.

Would fail a UK MOT, but putting spats on would spoil it........where do Mercans get all this money from??

Its hardly something u can call a series 2a. More of a zombie hybrid...can't see the point of doing this neither one nor t'other.
