Freelander reversing light not working

My 2001 freelander td4 reversing lights are still not working after I have changed the reversing light switch and checked the fuse does anyone have any ideas
 
I'm assuming that you have power into and out of the switch
the next step is power at the bulb holder
then check the bulbs themselves
then check the earth(s)
 
Thanks i'll test to see if there power to the bulb holders tomorrow. The Haynes manual says the is a header joint k109 would you know where it is
 
checked all connectors this morning and there is no power to the switch but the fuse is fine and I followed the wire back from the switch and they goto the fusebox in the engine bay but there is no fuse or relay in there that I can see
 
No reversing light still not working still haven't found relay r217 yet still looking if anyone knows where it is I would be greatfull
 
hi folks

i'm having the same problem with my 2000 TD4

i bought a multimeter to try and source the problem but the instructions are in spanish and i don't know how to use it :confused:
 
I've traced the wires back from the reverse switch and they go back to a connector behind the fuel filter housing then into the wiring loom does anyone know what this connector is for
 
Reversing lights sorted the problem is a plug next to the diesel filter in the engine bay it come loose
