Are tubular shock turrets sided?

mine are exactly the same as that on my 90 mate, should be good to go.

Mines from Terrafirma were marked L & R don't know what the difference was though.

Forgot to mention, if that's a Marsland chassis and you're lifting the suspension 2" it might be worth fitting dislocation cones on the front too, my HD +2" springs were always ending up unseated so I had to fit cones, my mates 90 is on a Richards chassis and his reseat OK so he got away without the cones

ATM I am keeping it standard height, so hopefully it will be ok. Thanks for the heads up though.

One thing to bear in mind is those shock absorber mounts are a bit wider than the standard cone shaped Land Rover ones so you might have to readjust when you put the front wings back on. Mine fouled the inner wing and needed a bit of rotation and the wing needed some modification to fit. So you might find yourself having to loosen them off and move them round anyway.

Mine were a mirror image from one side to the other. Don't suppose it matters though!! If I remember rightly the bolt holes are different distances apart so dictate how the strut tops fit.
Oh, ok.
So do I need to get some different ones?
I did wonder why they looked the same.
I wonder if Paddocks would take them back?
Dont know if you need different ones, mine were terrafirma, just build it up and see how it is, its not a major job to alter after

I have emailed Paddocks to ask whether they are sided, though not sure they reply to emails...
I had a look last night and whilst the 2 turrets don't sit pointing the same direction, the hole at the top is pretty much central.
I will leave it for now I think and then see how everything fits together.

Fits:- Front Defender 90/110/130, Disco 1 & RRC.
They have a built in spring re locator to guide the spring back in if it dislocates, its the same as fitting dislocation cones but it is built all in one to cut the cost of 2 items.
These turrets are handed, the hole in the upper leg must be fitted towards to the front of the vehicle and the longer part of the relocator must go against the chassis"

The plot thickens!
I am not sure what to think now. The turrets seem to sit flat and not be biased to any direction.

If you need any further assurance despite having it in writing from the supplier all you need to know is that the original enclosed turrets are not sided and then you know it's technically possible to design a tubular one that is also not sided.
So.....are the original enclosed turrets sided?
Perhaps there are designs out there that accommodate a greater range of articulation and then perhaps it is necessary to design in some asymmetry.
